Dr. Bruce R. Kava
Dr. Bruce Kava possesses an extensive background in the field of urologic oncology. He is most widely recognized for his clinical research, which has advanced the treatment of sexual issues confronting patients
with urologic cancers.
He earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed a surgical and urologic residency at New York University
(NYU). He then participated in a urologic oncology fellowship program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Center.
Dr. Kava joined UHealth in 2000 where he is an assistant professor of urology and where he has served as interim chairman at the Department of Urology.
He is currently developing a multidisciplinary men’s health center that will serve as a model for other men’s centers regionally and throughout the United States.
His hope is that the center will advance the treatment of post-oncologic sexual health issues across the country.
