Dr. Robert Marcovich
Dr. Robert Marcovich is a board certified urologist. Prior to coming to Miami in 2013, was Director of the Endourology & Kidney Stone Therapy at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio from 2003 to 2012, specializing in the treatment of all surgical and metabolic aspects of complex kidney stone disease.
He earned his medical degree at Brown University and completed a residency in urology at the University of Michigan. He went on to complete an Endourology Fellowship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center with Dr. Arthur Smith, known to many as the “Father of Endourology”.
Dr. Marcovich is the recipient of several urology resident teaching awards and helped to design the urologic portion of the medical school curriculum at UT. He is the author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and eight book chapters.
Dr. Marcovich’s research interests lie in the surgical and medical aspects of urinary lithiasis.
